Electronic Benefits Transfer (EFT)

Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is an electronic system in the United States that allows state governments to provide benefits to authorized recipients via a plastic debit card.

These debit cards are used just like any other debit card.  Your customer will swipe their EBT card, enter their PIN, and an electronic authorization will begin.  As a retailer, you will receive payment just as you would in a cash or food stamp transaction.

Accepting EBT debit cards can increase sales and show that your business is aware of service and helpfulness.
